Bee pollen

Our bee pollen is Spanish. It’s produced from an array of wildflowers including Lavandula Stoechas Cistus, and Genista. Spanish bee pollen is exceptionally high quality. It has outstanding nutritional values, a sweet taste, fresh aroma and gorgeous golden hue.

Our pollen is harvested between April and May when the rainy season has finished but before the hot sun starts beating down – this is when the bees finish their pollen harvest.

Our keepers are conscious of the bee’s wellbeing, the natural habitat and the excellence of the product they are producing. To gather the pollen they place a thin net over the hive’s entrance so when the bees enter the largest clusters of pollen fall off into the net and are gathered in the box below. The pollen is only collected 3 or 4 days a week and for a period of around a month – this leaves the bees with ample pollen to thrive.

Bee pollen is a source of protein. Protein contributes to a growth in, and maintenance of, muscle mass. It also contributes to the maintenance of normal bones.
