ZAO Make-up Matt Lipstick Review

I’ts extremely hard to find a natural, organic lipstick that looks and feels good. Many of them feel dry on the lips, while others bleed or smudge within minutes of application. Not ZAO! This eco-luxury brand has really nailed it when it comes to their lipsticks.

The only criticism I have is that the range of colours isnt’ very extensive – in the words of my sister: “there’s no slutty red!” The colours available are really nice but they’re all fairly subdued and sophisticated and sometimes a girl just needs to slap on a raunchy red.

This lavish lipstick is free from all chemicals and parabens. It’s enriched with pomegranate and cocoa butter and contains micronised silver powder as a natural preservative.

One coat gives a gorgeous, complete, matt effect. It has excellent longevity -still looks perfect after four or five hours and after a couple of daps has minimal transfer onto glasses and cups. This lipstick will last all day if two layers are applied with a foundation base underneath. I’m wearing a single layer of Old Pink 462 in the picture above. The Pink Red  and Nude Rose are also really lovely!

Like all ZAO products the Matt Lipstick is packaged in sustainable bamboo and presented in a cute undyed cotton bag with pink ribbon.
